Amy is a New York City-based yoga and pilates instructor who is passionate about sharing the joys of movement, breath, and stillness with her fellow New Yorkers.
Born and raised in Mexico City, Amy first fell in love with yoga at the age of fifteen. After graduating from NYU School of Law, Amy listened to a growing desire to deepen her own connection with her body and breath by enrolling in a Yoga Alliance registered 200-hour Teacher Training Program. Overcome by its power, Amy promptly decided to ditch a career in a law for one in health, mindfulness, and wellness. Through her teaching, Amy strives to create a space that encourages students to connect to the intuition of their own body.
Eager to learn more, Amy has since completed additional trainings, including an additional 300-hour Teacher Training Program, an 85-hour Yoga Alliance Prenatal Yoga program, as well as a Mat Pilates & Reformer Certification through Balanced Body University. Amy continues to further her studies while continuously cultivating her own knowledge through everyday practice, both on and off the mat.
Amy teaches mat & reformer pilates, alignment-based vinyasa, prenatal yoga, meditation & restorative yoga classes that are tailored to your needs.
